Coaches


Coaches play an imperative role in athlete development and management at all age levels. The Kennebecasis Kayak Club coaches are responsible and experienced individuals who possess and promote strong values in leadership, sport etiquette, teamwork, and safety.

2011 will be Emily’s second year coaching and sixth year paddling competitively with the Kennebecasis Kayak Club. Emily was a participant in the 2009 summer Canada Games and she has raced in multiple national and Atlantic level regattas. Emily is a student at Kennebecasis Valley High School and will be graduating in the summer of 2011. She is a very enthusiastic individual and is eager to provide a positive contribution to the club environment. Emily is a certified Canoe Kids coach and trained as an Entry Level Competitive coach.

Craig Lang

2011 will be Craig Lang's sixth year as the head coach and program director of the Kennebecasis Kayak Club and his ninth year as a sprint paddling coach. Craig is a former competitive kayaker and he has coached athletes ranging from atom to juvenile. He is Entry-Level Competitive Coach certified and is trained as a Competitive Development Coach (Level 3). Craig coached the 2009 New Brunswick Canada Games Team for Canoe-Kayak and his athletes have achieved exceptional results within the Atlantic and National divisions. Craig has a B.Sc. from Saint Francis Xavier University and is currently attending Dalhousie University to complete a Bachelor of Music.
